Srinagar, April 22, 2025 — The Kashmir Advocates Association has issued a strong condemnation of the recent terrorist attack in Baisaran Valley, Pahalgam, Anantnag district, that took place on April 22. The attack claimed multiple lives and left several injured, primarily targeting innocent tourists and civilians.
In an official notice, the Bar Association described the incident as a “cowardly terrorist attack” and a “deplorable act of violence with no place in a civilized society.” The Association expressed deep sorrow over the loss of lives and extended heartfelt condolences to the bereaved families. They also prayed for the swift recovery of those injured in the attack.
Calling it a profound tragedy, the JKHCBA emphasized the impact of the event on the legal fraternity and the people of Jammu and Kashmir, vowing to stand united in denouncing the attempt to disrupt peace and harmony in the region.
As a gesture of solidarity and respect for the victims, the Bar Association has urged all its members and advocates to abstain from court work on April 23, 2025.
