Bhaderwah Court Convicts Man for Public Nuisance, Sentences Him to 03 days Community Service

Bhaderwah, March 19, 2025: A local court in Bhaderwah has convicted a man for creating a public nuisance under the influence of alcohol and sentenced him to three days of community service of cleaning Cow Shelter (Gau Shala) at Bhaderwah.

According to court records, the police found the accused, Bikram Singh, son of Mahinder Singh from Gandoh, Doda, in an intoxicated state near Nalthi Naka, Tehsil Bhaderwah, on March 18. The police subsequently presented an instant complaint under Section 355 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) before the court.

During the proceedings, the accused, represented by Advocate Majid Malik, voluntarily confessed to his guilt after being informed about his legal rights and the consequences of his confession.

Considering the voluntary nature of the plea, the court convicted Bikram Singh and sentenced him to three days of community service at Shri Gomata Seva Samiti, Dhamunder, Bhaderwah. He is required to clean the premises daily from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM from March 24 to March 26, 2025.

The court directed the SHO of Police Station Bhaderwah to supervise the convict’s service and submit a compliance report along with photographs by April 3, 2025.
