New Delhi, April 5, 2025: The Supreme Court Collegium has recommended the appointment of Justice Arun Palli, Judge of the Punjab and Haryana High Court, as the Chief Justice of the High Court of Jammu & Kashmir and Ladakh.
The recommendation was made during the Collegium’s meeting held on April 4, 2025. Justice Palli’s elevation comes as part of the ongoing reshuffle and appointments aimed at strengthening the higher judiciary across the country.
Justice Arun Palli is known for his balanced judgments and deep understanding of constitutional and civil law. His experience at the Punjab and Haryana High Court is expected to bring strong judicial leadership to the High Court of Jammu & Kashmir and Ladakh.
The recommendation will now be forwarded to the Union Government for approval by the President of India.
